Corporate Governance & Risk Management

Purpose

Main Purpose of the MSc in Corporate Governance & Risk Management

The primary aim of the MSc programme is to train specialised professionals capable of meeting the growing demands of the modern economic and business environment in the fields of corporate governance and risk management. The programme aims to develop executives with critical thinking, strategic insight and leadership skills, who will apply international best practices within a constantly changing regulatory and business environment.

In particular, the MSc programme aims to:

  • To provide an in-depth analysis of the principles of corporate governance — transparency, accountability, fairness — at both theoretical and empirical levels, as well as an understanding of the national and international regulatory frameworks governing contemporary business activity.
  • The acquisition of methodological competence in identifying, assessing and mitigating risks — operational, financial and strategic — through recognised international frameworks and practices.
  • Developing the ability to apply empirical methods and quantitative tools to analyse real-world governance and risk challenges.
  • To train professionals capable of taking on high-responsibility roles in businesses, supervisory authorities and organisations, combining academic training with strategic thinking and ethical leadership.
